NOVUS® Instructional Video (2013)

 NOVUS® is a laboratory-processed resilient denture liner material intended for long term clinical use, made from polyphosphazene fluoroelastomer (PNF). It is a combination of a high-tech synthetic rubber and cross-linking acrylics, which improves the chemical bond to denture base resins while providing the patient a pleasing cushion that absorbs shock, remains soft permanently, resists fungus growth, is X-ray opaque, and improves clinical retention and function of the denture. It is easy to process using standard dental laboratory equipment and temperatures, and requires no special instruments for finishing.

For most dental patients, the hard denture surface rubs against underlying tissues that cause sore spots resulting in difficult-to-wear dentures.
